Rebecca Bishop is currently a graduate student at the University of Texas at Dallas where she will be completing her doctorate in 2001. Her research involves investigations of intermediate layers in the nighttime ionosphere. In 1998 she participated in the Coqui II rocket campaign in Puerto Rico which provided in-situ rocket measurements of an intermediate layer. Additionally, she has used observational data from the Arecibo Observatory in conjunction with numerical modeling to examine layer formation. Her interests include ionospheric irregularities at mid and low latitudes, ion/neutral interactions, and spacecraft instrumentation.
